How it works

Every lighthouse has a keeper. Here, that's you.

My Lighthouse is a small evening ritual that builds into an honest picture of your life. Here's the whole practice, in five parts.

Your pillars as lighthouses, each shining by its recent light

1. Choose what you keep lit

Pick up to five pillars — the parts of life that matter most this year. Family, Health, Work, anything you like. Each becomes a lighthouse in your care, and you keep them for the year: the commitment is the practice.

The evening check-in — good, neutral or bad

2. Tend the light each evening

A minute before bed: how was the day — good, neutral or bad? How did each pillar fare? Add a note when there's something worth keeping. On a rough day, one word is enough — or nothing at all. Prefer a slower rhythm? Journal weekly instead.

The home screen — today's light and the week's dots

3. Busy night? One press.

When the evening reminder arrives, press and hold it — Good, Neutral or Bad logs the day without opening the app. Next time you're back, the app offers to add that day's pillars. A Home Screen widget keeps your week of lights in view.

Trends across mood and pillars

4. Watch the picture form

Week by week, your entries draw the true picture — your patterns, your trends, the months as they really were. The more consistently you check in, the truer it gets. One evening it will show you something about yourself you didn't know.

A monthly letter from the Keeper

5. Read your letters

At the end of each month, the Keeper — the app's companion — writes you a letter about what it found in your journal: what shone, what was heavy, in your own words with dates. And when you want to talk something through, it's there.
