What it does

Four simple ideas, one daily ritual.

Daily companion

A quiet check-in that keeps you connected to your life, not just your tasks — two taps in the evening, or straight from the reminder. Weekly, if life is full.

Your pillars

Choose up to five pillars that matter most this year and track how you feel about each.

The Keeper

A companion who reads your months and writes you letters — and talks whenever you need it.

Self-awareness

Build the habit of reflecting, so you notice when you've drifted off course.

Choosing tonight's light — good, neutral or bad

Reflect on your day

How did today feel? Pick a lantern — good, neutral or bad.

Your pillars as lighthouses, each shining by its last 30 days

Track your pillars

Each pillar is a lighthouse in your care — see how brightly each one has shone.

A saved day — overall light and each pillar

Write your thoughts

A clean, private space to capture what's on your mind.

Weekly trends across mood and pillars
Insights that mean something

Patterns. Pillars. Progress.

The more you check in, the more useful your trends become. See what's pulling you forward, what's wearing you out, and what you'd like to do differently next week.

No streaks. No guilt. Just a clearer picture.

A conversation with the Keeper
The Keeper

Someone who has actually read your story.

The Keeper is My Lighthouse’s companion. It reads your journal — nothing else’s — and talks with you about what it finds there: plainly, with your own words and dates, and never with guilt.

It writes your monthly and yearly letters, remembers what you were working on, and if you’re ever in real distress it steps out of the way and points you to real help.

Powered by Claude, by Anthropic. Your entries are never used to train AI models.

A monthly letter from the Keeper
Periodic reports

A season in review, in two minutes.

At the end of each month the Keeper writes you a letter: what shone, what was heavy, what you said in your own words at the time — with a thought for the month ahead. Read it on the train; come back to it years later.

"I didn't know how much I needed this app in my life. After 5 months, so much has changed in terms of better habits. I now find myself consistently thinking throughout the day about what little step I can take toward specific pillars."

FAQ

Common questions.

What is My Lighthouse?

My Lighthouse is a daily companion for iPhone that helps you pick up to five priorities — your "pillars" — that matter most this year, check in on how each is going, and notice when you've drifted off course. It's a quieter alternative to streak-driven habit trackers: no streaks, no leaderboards, no guilt — just a clearer mirror of your day.

How is this different from a habit tracker or journal app?

Habit trackers focus on whether you did the thing. Journals focus on what happened. My Lighthouse focuses on what matters to you — the pillars of your life right now, like health, family, work, or learning — and how you feel about each over time. Mood check-ins and journaling are there, but the centre of the app is your priorities, not your tasks.

What are the 5 pillars?

They're yours. You pick up to five when you set up the app, and you keep them for the year — the commitment is the practice. Each new year you choose again: keep the same pillars or set new ones. Some people pick life domains (Health, Family, Career); others pick values or roles (Discipline, Curiosity, Being a good partner). The point is that they're the things you'd be sad to look back on in a year and find you ignored.

Is My Lighthouse free?

Yes. The daily practice — your pillars, daily or weekly check-ins, private journaling, trends, and a weekly report — is free forever, and you get one conversation day each week with the Keeper. Premium is £2.99/month (VAT included) — your first month is free — and adds the monthly and yearly reports, written as letters by the Keeper, plus unlimited Keeper conversations.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your written reflections are encrypted on your device using AES, the industry standard, before they sync — so they're stored as unreadable ciphertext, on servers in the European Union. When the Keeper reads your journal to write to you, your entries are processed by Anthropic's Claude and are never used to train AI models. You can lock the app with Face ID and it will auto-lock when you walk away. We don't sell data and there are no ads.

What is the Keeper?

The Keeper is the app's companion. It writes your monthly and yearly reports as letters — quoting your own notes, with dates — and you can talk with it about how things are going. It knows your journal, speaks like a friend rather than a therapist, and if you're ever in real distress it points you to real help (in the UK, Samaritans on 116 123). It runs on Claude, by Anthropic, and your entries are never used to train AI models.

Can I journal weekly instead of daily?

Yes. If daily feels like too much, switch to a weekly rhythm: one check-in each week, same pillars, same reports. The picture forms either way — choose the pace that you'll actually keep.

Is My Lighthouse available on Android?

Not yet — My Lighthouse is currently iPhone and iPad only. If you'd like an Android version, email team@mylighthouseapp.com so we can show real demand.
